For 50 years, Ed Video has been shaped by the artists, members, staff, volunteers, audiences, collaborators and friends who have passed through its doors.
As part of our 50th anniversary, we are creating a digital publication that looks back at this history while considering what it can offer the future. We invite everyone who holds a piece of Ed Video’s history to share it with us as we build this collective story.
We’re looking for memories in all kinds of forms:
- Written stories, memories and testimonials
- Screen captures of video and film projects realized through the centre
- Photographs of exhibitions, screenings, workshops, performances, parties, people or spaces
- Video or audio clips
- Posters, programs, flyers and other ephemera
- Voice recordings — tell us a story instead of writing it
- Memories of an artwork, event, encounter or moment that stayed with you
- Anything else that captures something about your experience with Ed Video
Your contribution doesn’t need to be polished, complete, or historically significant. Personal memories, fragments and unexpected moments are part of the history too. If you don’t remember the exact year, names or details, send it anyway.
This project isn’t only about preserving Ed Video’s past. We want to activate that history — bringing different generations, experiences and ideas into conversation and considering how 50 years of experimentation can inspire what comes next.
