Ed Video Media Arts Centre is seeking applicants for a Collection Database Creation Internship.
This 16-week internship is focused on the first phase of our Video Collection Digitization Project. This role provides a unique opportunity to engage with a significant archive of video artworks, shorts and full feature films and institutional recordings produced at Ed Video since 1976. Working closely with Ed Video staff, the intern will also learn to operate legacy video playback equipment and participate in discussions about the long-term value and retention of materials. The internship will culminate in a critical review of the collection and a summary of findings, as well as a feedback session to support future internship planning. This position is ideal for individuals interested in media arts, film history, archives, Arts advocacy or library science, and offers hands-on training in a supportive, inclusive arts organization.
