Celebrating 49 years in Guelph.
As a charitable artist-run centre, we support artists and diverse communities in all aspects of media arts.
Ed Video Media Arts Centre has been a cornerstone of Guelph’s arts community for nearly five decades.
The “Ed” in Ed Video stands for education, reflecting our commitment to providing accessible media arts resources to a wide range of community members—from emerging artists and youth to professional filmmakers, media artists, and local organizations.
Through affordable access to equipment, training, skill-building programs, and exhibition space, we empower individuals to tell their stories, explore their creativity, and connect with others in meaningful ways.
Our work not only enriches Guelph’s cultural fabric but also strengthens the social ties that bind our community together.
At Ed Video, we help locals share local stories.
We offer the following membership levels: general member, producer member, student member, and organizational member. Benefits of membership with Ed Video include access to production programs, our email newsletter, member rates for workshops, and project consultation.
We understand that memberships can be an investment, and if affordability is a concern or you have a specific budget in mind, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are happy to work with you to find a solution that fits your needs.

Land Acknowledgment
For half a century Ed Video Media Arts Centre has had the privilege of fulfilling its mission on land located within the Between the Lakes Purchase (confirmed in 1792), treaty and territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit (Michi Saugiig Nishnaabeg).
This treaty land is steeped in a rich Indigenous history and is home to many First Nations, Inuit and Métis people today.
We acknowledge the unique and long standing relationships the Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee have with the land and each other.
As Board members, staff and members of Ed Video, we share in the responsibility for the stewardship of this land. We ask that each one of us take time in our busy lives to plan an action for the wellbeing and sustainability of this land and its original peoples.
