This introductory workshop will teach the building blocks of 3D modelling. Participants will learn the basics of selecting and manipulating vertices, edges, and faces, and will use these fundamental tools to build 4 different models of varied complexity. Participants will also be introduced to and familiarised with the subdivision surface modifier which is a common tool in 3D modelling. While this workshop will be instructed using Blender, the principles can be applied to any 3D software.
Participants will need a laptop, a scroll-wheel mouse and a free download of Blender. Ed Video has a limited amount of laptops available for members to use during the workshop. Please email workshops@edvideo.org if you wish to use one.
Email workshops@edvideo.org with any questions and/or accessibility needs and to register.
