About this Event
Learn to build live interactive and immersive networks using TouchDesigner, a node based visual programming software, in this 2-part workshop.
Experience Level: Beginner
In Part 1, participants will receive a comprehensive overview of TouchDesigners’ capabilities including:
• 2D/3D basics
• Motion Capture and Gesture Control
• Projection Mapping Sensors and MIDI Service Inputs
• AI
In Part 2, participants will apply the skills they acquired in the previous session to create and present interactive and immersive advertisements, environments and experiences for a mock agency. They will focus on creating networks for campaigns in the following industries:
• Fashion
• Food
• Music
• Live Performance
• Tech Start Up and Mobile Apps ( social, dating, shopping)
• Sports
• Film and Broadcast Media
• Travel and Tourism
• Automotive
• Education and Humanities.
By the end of the workshop, participants will have a foundational understanding of TouchDesigner networks, along with templates and example builds that can be used for potential professional opportunities in UX/UI design and digital marketing.
This workshop requires a laptop with TouchDesigner and a scroll wheel mouse. Ed Video has a limited amount of laptops with TouchDesigner available for members to use. Non-members may rent a laptop for an additional $10 +HST.

About the Instructor
Kwasi Bugyei is a Toronto based creative technologist, TouchDesigner developer and general creative coder. A Hxouse Tenant and Labs Facilitator, Kwasi conducts educational workshops based on digital design philosophy and immersive experience.
