This workshop covers the fundamental techniques and practices of lighting for film and video. Participants will learn the uses and benefits of a variety of lights as well as how to employ bounces, diffusion and negative fill when creating a lighting set-up. Scenes and images will be analysed to identify the different lighting approaches and tools used and then recreated for hands-on experience. While this workshop shed light on industry approaches to lighting, there is a strong emphasis on working with existing lighting and simple tools.
